Flavor Experience

Sumatra Mandheling Beriah Citra Persada delivers the bold, earthy character that has made Sumatran coffees legendary among specialty coffee enthusiasts. In the cup, you'll discover rich molasses sweetness, deep dark chocolate notes, and distinctive cedar undertones, creating a full-bodied coffee with exceptional depth and a smooth, lingering finish.

The traditional wet hulled process, known locally as Giling Basah, contributes to the coffee's signature texture and complexity. This unique processing method enhances body while developing the earthy, chocolate-forward qualities that make Sumatra coffees unlike any other origin in the world.

Whether brewed as French press, drip coffee, pour over, espresso, or cold brew, this single-origin Sumatran coffee offers a rich and satisfying specialty coffee experience for those who appreciate bold, full-bodied coffees.

Coffee Origin

This coffee is sourced from smallholder coffee farmers in Bener Meriah, a renowned coffee-growing region in Aceh, Sumatra. Located near the northern shores of Lake Tawar and beneath the slopes of the impressive Burni Telong volcano, the region's fertile volcanic soils and high elevations provide ideal conditions for producing exceptional coffee.

Most coffee farms in this area are family-operated and range from just half a hectare to two hectares in size. Farmers carefully harvest ripe coffee cherries and deliver them to local collection centers where initial processing begins before the coffee continues to regional milling facilities.

PT Indokom Citra Persada oversees the quality selection, milling, and export preparation of this coffee. With dedicated operations throughout Indonesia and specialized milling facilities in Aceh, the company works closely with farming communities to maintain quality standards while supporting the region's long-standing coffee traditions.

The result is a coffee that reflects the unique terroir, craftsmanship, and heritage of Sumatra—offering the bold body, deep sweetness, and earthy complexity that have made Mandheling coffees famous around the world.
