Organic and Fair Trade Certified, our Decaf is decaffeinated without chemicals or solvents by using the ROYAL SELECT METHOD. We truly believe this process to be the number one preferred non-chemical method for maintaining the coffee’s original quality of flavor.
The ROYAL SELECT METHOD is also known as MOUNTAIN WATER DECAF PROCESS. This method of decaffeination is achieved by soaking the fresh picked green coffee beans in large vats of the purest water, from highest glacier mountains in Mexico. This process initiates the release of the beans flavor, as well as caffeine, into the water. This pure, super-charged water is then strained through a patented specialty filter, that pulls most all of the caffeine from the water, yet the full flavor that originated from the bean is retained! Once filtered, the flavorful, glacier mountain water it is reintroduced to the drier beans, and the beans quickly absorb the water, and all the flavor. The ROYAL SELECT METHOD restores the original integrity of the beans flavor, without the caffeine, without the chemicals… and that creates an incredible decaf! There is only one facility in the world that uses this process, and we have the opportunity to be a part of this experience that provides us with a fabulous cup of decaf! We’ve come a long way!
