Coffee Origin
This coffee is sourced from COMSA (Café Orgánico Marcala, S.A.), one of the most respected organic coffee cooperatives in Honduras. Located in the renowned coffee-growing region of Marcala, COMSA was founded in 2000 by 62 coffee-producing families who shared a vision of transitioning from conventional agriculture to sustainable organic coffee production.
Through their commitment to quality, environmental stewardship, and continuous education, COMSA has become a leader in organic specialty coffee. The cooperative's Organic and Fair Trade certifications have helped farmers access international markets while supporting community development projects. Fair Trade premiums are reinvested into local initiatives, including educational programs, teacher support, and school supplies, creating lasting benefits for farming families and future generations throughout the Marcala region.

I am in a perpetual search for perfect milk based coffee drink. The COMSA Marcala are nice beans but so far I was not able to get that perfectly balanced drink. To me the beans are bit on a bitter side. Perhaps this is the machine or my barista skills 🙂 I have not tried the espresso shots yet. May be these beans are not made for milk based drinks. I would welcome any helpful information on the 3d Wave Coffee webpage that would clarify the best use of the beans, espresso or latte/ cappuccino.
