Flavor Experience

El Salvador Puerto Arturo Natural Pacamara is an expressive single-origin coffee that brings together vibrant fruit, creamy sweetness, and the distinctive character of Salvadoran specialty coffee. In the cup, you'll discover bright orange, ripe huckleberry, and smooth vanilla custard, creating a layered coffee with juicy fruit character and a sweet, lingering finish.

The natural process plays an important role in developing this coffee's depth and fruit-forward character. Carefully harvested coffee cherries are dried with the fruit intact on raised beds in the sun and regularly turned to promote even drying. This extended contact with the fruit contributes to concentrated sweetness, body, and expressive fruit character.

Whether enjoyed as pour over coffee, drip coffee, French press, or an expressive espresso, these freshly roasted El Salvador coffee beans offer a distinctive specialty coffee experience with a beautiful balance of fruit, sweetness, and complexity.

Coffee Origin

El Salvador Puerto Arturo Natural Pacamara comes from Finca Puerto Arturo near Concepción de Ataco in Ahuachapán, El Salvador. Located within the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, the farm is managed by Karla Quiroz de Moises and her husband, Alvaro Moises, along with their family.

Puerto Arturo represents generations of family involvement in Salvadoran coffee. Karla and Alvaro have worked to renovate family farmland with a focus on specialty coffee production, including the cultivation of Pacamara beneath a diverse canopy of mature shade trees.

Pacamara is especially significant to this coffee's identity. The variety has deep roots in El Salvador and is valued in specialty coffee for its potential to produce distinctive, complex flavor profiles. At Puerto Arturo, careful cultivation is paired with natural processing to highlight the variety's expressive character.

During processing, ripe coffee cherries are dried with the fruit intact on raised beds and regularly turned throughout an extended drying period. Once drying is complete, the coffee is carefully stored, milled, and sorted to preserve the quality and traceability of the microlot.

With notes of orange, huckleberry, and vanilla custard, Puerto Arturo Natural Pacamara offers a vibrant expression of El Salvador's specialty coffee tradition, combining generations of coffee-growing experience with careful natural processing.
